Individual Psychotherapy:

Though our journey through life may include great joy and happiness, we sometimes go through difficult experiences and periods in which we feel depressed, anxious, sad, worried, angry, or alienated. The care and expertise of a compassionate therapist can provide the needed support to deal with these feelings and experiences. I offer my clients a safe and supportive place to face their challenges and learn new ways of being.

Together, my clients and I collaborate to address their specific issues with the goal of healing past wounds and developing internal resources to cope with life’s adversities. I work from a strength-based model that empowers my clients to use their strengths and resources to develop healthy new coping strategies. I teach skills to address negative or anxious thoughts, transform difficult emotions, and foster greater self-acceptance. This work can lead to growth and well-being, allowing hope and ultimately offering contentment, happiness, and a more meaningful life.

Mindfulness & Meditation:

I have studied mindful meditation for 20 years and have taught it for 10 years  at University of Southern California and Insight LA. I have led weekly meditation groups at Vice News and Simple Practice, and have taught an introduction to mindfulness and meditation at Riot Games, the National Basketball Association, Children’s Hospital, the City of Santa Monica and others. I offer private sessions for individuals to learn and practice meditation, and I incorporate meditation techniques with my psychotherapy clients.

Group Psychotherapy:

Building Resiliency and Self-Compassion Group

An emotionally supportive space to share and experience the common struggles of group members. Our psychotherapy group explores and learns new ways of working with difficult thoughts, feelings, and emotions while working towards enjoying an authentic and meaningful life.
